NSW Vinnies Community Sleepout
About the NSW Vinnies Community Sleepout
Homelessness is not just a metropolitan issue. It touches all parts of our great state and that’s what the NSW Vinnies Community Sleepout is all about. It’s about shining a spotlight on homelessness in regional NSW. It’s about locals supporting locals.
Since inception in 2018, community members have rallied together in this state-wide effort raising over $750,000 to help people in regional NSW doing it tough.
From Armidale to Albury, Western Sydney to Wagga Wagga, Maitland to the Murrumbidgee and many more towns in between, locals register to sleep out for one night, braving the cold to raise much needed funds for Vinnies Services and Programs in their local area. Along the way, participants will learn about some of the harsh realities faced by those experiencing homelessness and disadvantage and what we can do as a community to help.
